Destiny Hope Cyrus, better known as Miley Cyrus, is known all over the world as a gifted
actress, singer and songwriter. Born on November 23, 1992 in
Nashville, she is currently the star of the popular Disney series Hannah Montana and was also the star of a Disney movie by the same name.
But how did Miley Cyrus become so famous?
Miley Cyrus is the daughter of Billy Ray Cyrus and Leticia Cyrus. She has an older half-sister, (Brandi), two older half-brothers (Trace and Christopher Cody), a younger brother (Braison), and a younger sister (Noah Lindsey), but only Miley and Noah Lindsey are performers.
Destiny Hope (Miley) used to attend Heritage Middle School in Nashville. Her nickname "Miley" came from a previous nickname "Smiley" which she earned while a student at that school .
She got her first big break as a TV performer when she was just 9 years old, playing a guest role in her father's television series called "Doc". In 2003, she worked as an actress in Tim Burton's movie called "Big Fish." Later that year, she appeared in a music video for "If Heartaches Have Wings" by Julie Reeves.
When Miley was 12, she won the role of Hannah Montana after what producers and casting agents called an "energetic and lively audition" She was seen as a very likable kid - a girl who relishes every minute of life. She was as reliable as Hillary Duff with the stage presence of Shania Twain. As the video below demonstrates, she earned the role on her own.
Fun fact... Did you know that Miley had a cameo appearance in Disney's High School Musical 2, (she danced next to the pool)? Another tidbit, she is VERY good friends with Mitchell Musso, Vanessa Hudgens and Ashley Tisdale.

Pretty cool information here on Miley, I didn't know Miley wasn't her real name until now (and how she go that name). She seems to be a hard worker even though she has a famous dad, so I guess she deserves her own fame and fortune.
